About Fanny

She is described as a spinster in the deeds. Her Father George Fudge was a plumber, and was listed as a supplier of lead pipe to Weymouth Waterworks Company in 1856. He had a shop in Thomas St. The house was passed on to her nephew in 1919 after her death. Richard |Lanning was an Ironmonger and Whitesmith who had premises in Thomas St too. He seems to have been involved in the Park District sell off. The land was given to the people of Weymouth by "'Mad" King George to create a park. Victorian councillors managed to split it into lots and build most of the homes you see now.
